Seattle Youth Climate Strike that took place March 15 in Cal Anderson Park. Congratulations to the student organizers who joined millions world wide striking to demand action on climate change. Yesterday the first hour of the rally we heard from students. Today we hear from their invited adult guests.
Many wonderful moments at the Seattle Youth Climate Strike event on March 15, one I definitely need to share as I close out the first half of the program. Singer songwriter Eli Capestany performed a song he wrote for the occasion. Playing his original music about something that means so much to him, accompanying himself on guitar and harmonica I could not help be reminded of the Bob Dylan during his Greenwich village days.
A number of speakers referred to Greta Thunberg as the motivational source of this movement, recently nominated for the noble peace price. It seems fitting that we hear from Ms Thunberg during the second half of the program. ... See MoreSee Less
