  • Caixa is a local Seattle band that features music of both Portugal and Brazil so you will hear fados, sambas and more.
  • Patty Zeitlin is a Seattle storyteller, poet and musician. This story is entitled “Patrick O’Sullivan”and is the story of musician Pastricl’s lost concerto being found and played.
  • Lilla Spelmanslag is a Seattle area group of young musicians aged 8 to 18 playing Scandinavian music.
  • Fred Bailey is a British Columbia writer who spends much of his life on the waters of the Strait of Georgia. He specializes in nautical stories and poems.
  • Colleen Raney and her band stopped by for an in-studio performance. Colleen sings classic Irish songs with a classic voice.
  • Seumas Gagne (pronounced SHAY-mus GAHN-yay as his Facebook page says) is a local Gaelic musician and teacher we caught a recording of at Couth Buzzard in Greenwood.
  • Cafe Solstice opened their doors and let us record a performance of Celtic and Balkan musician Stanley Greenthal & SeaMuse back in December for his Winter Solstice Concert. They play music from the British Isles to Turkey.
  • Another performance from December was by Ballard Civic Orchestra at the Sunset Hill Community Association. This concert was a Latin tinged Christmas concert with flavors from opera, classical music and Christmas favorites.
